As part of strengthening our operations, we are looking for creative, ambitious and highly motivated team player to join the Human Resource team in the following capacity:
HUMAN RESOURCE BUSINESS PARTNER
OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB.
Reporting to the Head of HR, the incumbent will be providing Human Resource support to departments and provide leadership by increasing workforce capability, improving organizational design and structure, staffing, talent management, succession planning and supporting day-to- day operations in line with the company’s strategic direction.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide strategic manpower planning by working closely with business units through talent planning, skill gap analysis, succession planning, talent mix and talent pipeline strategy.
- Overseeing and managing employee compensation and benefits through monitoring salary structures, balancing staffing needs with cost controls and ensuring that policies, procedures and programs are in alignment with the organization’s overall strategic objectives.
- Regularly updating policies and processes in line with industry changes, company needs and legislation changes.
- Facilitate end-to-end performance management cycle across all functions while ensuring functional and individual objectives are aligned to strategic focus areas whilst facilitating data-driven performance decisions.
- Identifying training and skills gaps and providing strategic solutions and training programs that will upskill employees.
- Work closely with departments in handling disciplinary cases. Ensure that all cases are handled as per company policy and addressed in a timely manner to minimize disruptions and delivery of Group services.
- Participate in end-to-end recruitment and ensure that all vacant or new positions are filled within the required time.
- Management of the Human Resource Information Systems (Payroll system, Leave System, Performance Management System).
- Participate in employee satisfaction surveys and audits to identify issues affecting staff and develop strategic solutions to enhance a positive working environment.
- Monthly preparation of the Group payroll, report, and budget formulation. Provide monthly and quarterly reports for informed decision-making to enhance organizational performance.
- Ensuring legal and statutory compliance.
- Develop SLA to enhance HR service delivery.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Post graduate diploma in Human Resource Management / CHRP certification.
- Masters will be an added advantage.
- Membership in IHRM is mandatory.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience.
SKILLS AND OTHER ATTRIBUTES
- Strong leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills.
- Knowledge of Labor laws in Kenya.
