About the Role

Key responsibilities

Under the supervision of Project M&E Officer and overall guidance and Technical support from Programs Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Reporting to Project Monitoring & Evaluation Officer on activities done.
  • Face of the organization and project at Field/Community level. Link between the community gate keepers, opinion leaders and local leadership and the project organization.
  • Work with Evidence Based Intervention (EBI) Facilitators to plan, mobilize and implement project activities.
  • Supervise EBI facilitators and other community resource persons engaged in the project, to deliver.
  • Oversee implementation of Project Activities. And taking accountability for all activities done.
  • Planning and Mobilization of participants to project activities.
  • Consultation with the Project M&E Officer on implementation of the field activities.
  • Support in the development a monthly work plan and weekly work schedules of field activities.
  • Prepare narrative reports of all field activities implemented and report on time.
  • Support Project M&E Officer on achieving activity implementation cut-off dates and reporting deadlines to the organization and project donor.
  • Monthly documentation of success, impact stories and best practices as a result of project activities.
  • Prepare and submit activity payment invoices and sheets to Project M&E Officer for review and payment.
  • Provide on job/ capacity building to EBIs Facilitators on data recording and reporting through reporting forums and meetings.
  • Support Data Management processes: collection, tallying, verification, entry, cleaning, confidentiality, quality checks and analysis.
  • Together with Project M&E Officer, conduct weekly reporting, progress review and planning meetings with EBI facilitators and other resource persons engaged.
  • Participate in Monitoring and Evaluation visits to project implementation sites.
  • Support project M&E Officer on generation of project reports, talking points and presentations.
  • Represent or Participate in partner/ stakeholder meetings at Ward, Village and Sub County level.
  • Undertake any other project related task or activity deemed necessary to ensure project success.
  • Qualification Requirements

    • A minimum of 2 years experience relevant to working as a Project M&E or Field Officer.
    • A bachelor Degree or Diploma holder in either Monitoring and Evaluation, Project Planning & Management, Community Health and other relevant Social Science courses.
    • An understanding and experience of Human Rights and Gender issues will be an added advantage.
    • An experience of working in the rural set ups with an NGO or Government project, with an understanding of community dynamics.
    • An experience of working and interacting with Youths and children below 18 years of age.
    • Have proficiency in Computer application skills. Excel, Word and Power Point competency is a MUST.
    • Personal attributes (self-driven, excellent communication, presentation and reporting skills, analytical skills and team player).
