About the Role

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the service level improvement of the company service network in Kenya to achieve ever higher customer satisfaction
    levels.
  • Lead the development and implementation of the company's sales, marketing & distribution strategy to achieve profitable
    results and increase market share.
  • Build relationships with key customers and other relevant external stakeholders to promote and better the company’s
    position in the market.
  • Lead the development and implementation of the company’s international expansion.
  • Be a driving force behind the development of new products and generational development of the current product offering to ensure continuous growth of market share and revenue.
  • Provide leadership to the company marketing, sales and after sales management with a focus on long-term profitability and
    sustainable growth.
  • Lead the growth of the company service network in Kenya to achieve ever higher customer satisfaction levels.
  • Hold final accountability for the achievement of the set commercial objectives and report to ExCom accordingly.
  • Steer the development and implementation of the sales budget, ensure efficient allocations of resources necessary for implementation of the strategy and monitor utilization to ensure efficiency in use of resources.
  • Develop and recommend product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible longterm market share.
  • Identify new market channels and opportunities in line with the company targets.Together with the Excom team develop annual sales forecast and action plan to achieve.
  • Validate and implement the annual sales, marketing and PR plan.
  • Continuously monitor sales performance and improve on the execution of the strategy by the team to ensure
    annual targets are met.
  • Prepare monthly sales reports to ExCom showing sales volume, sales pipeline, financial performance against
    targets.
  • Lead the design, execution and follow up on events and promotions that give the company high profile and appropriate
    positioning to the right market segments in order to grow the market share.
  • Strategically target and close on new business opportunities with current and new customers.
  • Brainstorm and develop creative ideas with agencies, the Company Resellers, and the company Sales team for creative marketing campaigns
  • Monitor and report on relevant motorcycle markets through all key data sources in order to acquire and maintain
    full understanding of positioning, pricing, market share and demand planning.
  • Standardised sales and after sales reporting and systems as part of the monthly P&C cycle to systematically develop
    measure, analyse and improve market penetration.
  • Standardise sales and after sales processes, procedures and structure in order to secure transparency and customer
    satisfaction.
  • Manage the company Marketing & Communications department to develop and implement marketing activities with Creative Agencies to ensure our corporate image is maintained and brand awareness is improved.ontinuously monitor market trends and share insights and recommendations for decision making

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business related field, marketing and sales
  • Master’s degree in Business (MBA) or technical degree will be an added advantage from a reputable organization
  • 10+ years’ experience in sales and marketing rolesfor top tier companies,with at least 5 years as a Commercial Director
  • Passionate about motorcycles and well versed in specialized sales and marketing concepts, principles and tactics in order to deliver effective commercial strategies that will help build a strong band and grow revenue.
  • Has a strong record of accomplishment in generating significant improvements in sales performance of the companies for which he/she was in charge of the sales department.
