ABOUT THE ROLE

☐ Our client is a microfinance institution operating in Thika Town, Mt. Kenya & Eastern region in Kenya. The Company is passionate about providing financial solutions to SMEs in the region. The company is looking to hire an experienced Loan Officer to support its rapid growth. To succeed in this role you need to have acquired relevant skills with Micro Loans, telesales, direct sales, customer relationship management and prospecting.

Individuals with extensive experience in Micro loans in a Microfinance set up are highly encouraged to apply

☐ Location – Meru (Nkubu Branch, Kitui Branch)

RESPONSIBILITIES

☐ Ensure the loan book grows as projected through continuous product development and value proposition.

☐ Actively develop and review products for the sector.

☐ Meet individual & Branch targets.

☐ Develop a market penetration strategy that clearly identifies new markets and innovative approaches to reaching customers.

☐ Participate in branch marketing activities.

☐ Together with branch staff, keenly manage all non-performing loans to maintain quality of the book

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

☐ Bachelor’s degree in any Business field from a recognized university.

☐ At least 2 years’ practical working experience at a loan officer in an MFI/ Financial institution.

☐ Good communications skills

☐ Working knowledge in IT skills (MSOffice)

☐ Report writing skills, excellent skills in the analysis of Financials, communication, interpersonal, organizational and negotiation skills
