Our Client is one of the leading FMCG Companies in Kenya, they are looking to fill the role of Area Sales Supervisor
Job Purpose:
To manage the sales representatives and ensure that products are available in their territory market, costs are optimised, teams are effectively trained and meeting targets, and all data pertaining to the sales team is captured accurately to drive informed decision making.
Key Responsibilities
• To assist customers with complaints or inquiries related to products, services, or purchases.
• To conduct periodic customer surveys to improve customer/product segmentation and overall satisfaction.
• To track volumes, numbers, and margins by reviewing sales reports and ensuring the sales team achieves daily, weekly, quarterly, monthly, and annual sales targets.
• To conduct periodic retail audits to assess whether all markets are being serviced by Sales Representatives.
• To write and submitting daily and weekly reports based on sales and any other occurrences.
• To monitoring market fluctuations, tendencies, and trends as well as following competitor’s activity.
• To monitor and overseeing the activity of Sales Representatives.
• To Provide regular training sessions to all sales team members on the company's strategy and products as well as effective sales techniques, and develop a pool relievers for their area.
• To provide daily reports on the performance of Sales Representatives coupled with supporting evidence.
• To coordinate periodic meeting with sales representatives to discuss any challenges or best practices in an effort to improve the sales function of the companies.
• To conduct periodic spot checks to verify the information captured by the sales team.
• Mapping out routes for the sales representatives to follow to the stockists and wholesalers.
• To maintain the chain of the sales, where the Sales Representatives sell to the stockists and wholesalers.
• Responsible for overseeing stock & cash management and depot operations.
• To ensure carryout monthly performance appraisals for your teams and providing reports to your supervisor and HR within given timelines
Academic Qualifications
• University Degree in Sales and Marketing or any relevant field
• Training in Sales/Marketing or any related field would be an added advantage.
• A minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
