​Job Title: National Sales Manager

Direct reports: Regional Sales Managers, Area Sales Managers, Trade Marketing Officer, Depot Clerks.
Our Client
Our Client is one of the leading FMCG Companies in Kenya, they are looking to fill the role of National Sales Manager.
Responsibilities
• To analyzing sales feasibility to participate in developing the Sales Strategy and Channel Segmentation for better penetration.
• To support in the monitoring of the annual sales and marketing budgets in liaison with respective function managers.
• To development of Sales Plans for all sales channels in liaison with the Sales Manager.
• To developing the sales volumes and revenue goals targets as defined in the Sales Plan for the sales channels and monitoring the sales budget to ensure optimum allocation of resources.
• To carryout data analysis, coupled with information on the brands, promotions, budgets and objectives by account and by month.
• To ensure achievement of sales objectives that have been forecasted for the regions and territories - sales volume and revenues.
• To manage sales territories, incentives/commissions, third parties, and sales force skills and capabilities.
• To maintain relationships with high-value customers and periodically discuss their evolving needs and the quality of firm relationship with them.
• To oversee sales reporting and analyzing sales performance on a daily basis and tracking revenues generation on a monthly basis.
• To manage and tracking performance of whole sales team.
• To Review and improving sale Route to Market for the sales team in liaison with the Head of Commercial.
• To review various sales reports and communicating with Head of Commercial on a daily basis on the sales performance – reports include daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
• To conduct routine market visits to check route coverage and availability of products in the market, competitor activities, and look for new business opportunities in order to safeguard the customer base and increase market share.
• To ensure compliance with all financial norms to control collections and receivables.
• To participate in quality products checks in liaison with Quality and Production teams.
• To conduct market research based on trends and feedback from the market are gathered on a regular basis.
Qualification & Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Sales and Marketing, Business Management or any relevant field.
• Member of a professional body
• A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, 3 of which must be in a senior management position.
• Previous experience managing a sales team that spans a wide geographical area, with FMCG or manufacturing experience
