Job Purpose:

Reporting to the Head within the Corporate International Banking Department within set policies, guidelines and regulations, the incumbent will act as the primary contact for a portfolio of corporate clients and will be responsible to optimize business opportunities with existing customers and expand the customer base with the objective of growing the corporate business as well as the bank's revenue and market share.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement an overall sales strategy including client relationship strategy with a proactive value adding partnership approach to grow and retain a portfolio of corporate relationships and achieve business growth objectives
  • Structure and promote customized range of financial solutions which best respond to client needs
  • Identify opportunities proactively to cross sell related banking and non-banking products and services
  • Ensure excellent customer service standards and maintain an effective relationship with customers through regular contacts and visits
  • Maximize utilization of approved borrowing clients’ facility limits, trade finance and financial markets activities within portfolios
  • Assist in mining and analyze customer data to identify and plan for expansion and/or additional businesses
  • Ensure high level of service standards including high level of ethics and integrity in line with SBM values
  • Assess the risks and impact from both the client’s and bank’s perspective
  • Ensure strict compliance to the Bank's policies, local laws and regulations

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

  • University degree in Finance / Accounting / Economics and /or any other relevant qualifications
  • At least 5 years’ relevant experience within the banking and / or financial services sector, preferably in customer-facing roles
  • Sound knowledge of banking practices, procedures and products
  • High level of integrity and professionalism
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
