Our client, a prominent flower supplier in Nairobi. Is looking to hire a Counter Sales/Production Assistant who will be responsible for ensuring the shop is clean and well stocked and achieve or surpass set sales targets. The ideal candidate will handle sales, flower arrangements, packaging, set up displays and offer support to walk in customers and sales staff. Must have a minimum of 1 year working as a salesperson in a busy retail store, hands-on and a quick learner.

Key Requirements:

• Maintain excellent customer engagement and overall customer experience.
• Welcome customers, handle their questions and help them with selection of the flowers they require as needed.
• Communicate information regarding product availability to ensure the products are restocked in good time.
• Verify items returned are in good state and organize for repairs of any damaged items.
• Prepare daily work plans and logistical arrangements for delivery.
• Respond to client queries regarding company products and services.
• Design, cut and arrange live, dried, or artificial flowers, bouquets, wreaths, terrariums, and foliage.
• Ensure arrangements pass highest quality assurance requirements.
• Report sold flowers to shop supervisor.
• Advise customers regarding the care, maintenance, and handling of floral arrangements Decorate or supervise the floral decoration of external facilities for parties, weddings, and other occasions.

Qualifications:

• Certificate or Diploma in sales.
• Must have a minimum of 1 year working as a salesperson in a busy retail store
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Must be proactive and a team player
• Ability to work with minimum supervision
• Must be flexible and willing to stretch working hours.
• Must be a problem solver and solution oriented.
• Must have high integrity and honesty.
• Must be presentable and know how to engage customers.
