About the Role

What You Will Do

Commercial Planning

  • Develop & deploy a Winning Portfolio relevant for Club members & agents
  • Develop & deploy Pricing & Promotion plans as per strategy & drive business goals
  • Develop & deploy sales fundamentals strategies for field teams to observe

Forecasting

  • Build and maintain an accurate forward-looking demand forecast
  • Collaborate with operations & field teams to ensure minimum OOS (downtime) in Club stores

Shopper Insights & Analytics

  • Perform regular trade visits to stay in touch with the market dynamics (agents, members, prospects, suppliers & competitors)
  • Turn data into actionable insights & make recommendations to course correct where necessary

Supplier Management

  • Act as the single point of contact for Club suppliers
  • Secure best value and service levels for Club
  • Step change the relationship between Club and suppliers to one anchored on JBP

Loyalty Program

  • Steer the Club Loyalty Program design and implementation
  • Determine the relevant metrics to monitor
  • Measure the program effectiveness & make recommendations to improve

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in any field with an excellent academic background
  • 5+ years of experience in similar roles (ideally in FMCG industry) with increasing responsibility
  • Proven success of strong leadership
  • Strong analytical thinking and skills
  • A curious individual that can make complex decisions using all the available data but comfortable enough to use their gut feeling and instinct when these are missing
  • Proficient in English (Swahili is a plus)
  • Hold a valid driver's license and be flexible to travel.
