Duties

  • Position is responsible for logistical oversight of LE Staff evaluation process and processing of within range increase (WRI) personnel actions; will coordinate LE Staff orientation program and the point of contact for Length of service and safe driving awards process.
  • Overall supervision provided by HR Assistant (Performance and Analytical Team Lead) , Position number C54010.

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE:  

Two years of progressively responsible experience in the field of Human Resources, Management or Administration is required.


JOB KNOWLEDGE:

  • State Department HR Policies and guides, Foreign Affairs Manual, Mission Awards Policy and Regulations, Performance Management Policy. 

Education Requirements:

  • Two years of university or college studies is required.

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE:

  • English Level IV (Fluent, Speaking/Reading/Writing) is required (This may be tested). Kiswahili Level III (Good working Knowledge, Speaking/Reading/Writing) is required. 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES 

  • Must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office package, especially MS Outlook, Word, and Excel. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills are required. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills is required. Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work is required. Must be able to work as a team.
