Our client is part of a diversified conglomerate with ship agency as its core business. Their services include hub services, offshore supply services, freight forwarding, project cargo logistics,chartering and broking logistics & warehousing, anti-piracy security and P&I correspondence service. They have retained our services to support the hiring process for the position listed below.

Business Development Executive- Nairobi base

Reporting to the General Manager, the business development executive will be responsible for revenue generation through the attainment of sales targets, providing superior customer service, order fulfilment and business development. The key focus of the business development executive is on the entire menu of the organization’s services and building a strong pipeline

Key Responsibilities

• Meeting logistics, warehousing and shipping sales targets

• Responsible for sales of company’s products and services

• Efficient order fulfilment

• Management of customer communication

• Development of a strong sales pipeline.

• Promotion of company products though marketing strategies

• Efficient customer service and management of collections.

Key skills/Competencies required for role

• 3/4 years of shipping/ logistics/ warehousing industry experience

• Excellent knowledge of the regions shipping, logistics and warehousing industry

• Strong communication and report writing skills

• Good computing skills

• Team player

• Flexible and adaptable

• Good planning and organization skills.

• Good interpersonal and communication skills at all levels

• Have a thorough understanding of regulatory compliance and board management & reporting.

Qualifications

• Relevant university degree or diploma

• Relevant industry certifications
