About the role

BURN is looking for a Master Production Scheduler that will be tasked with developing the master production plan to satisfy customer demand while carrying minimum effective inventory.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and integrate multi-site and multi-country forecasts
  • Create and Maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS)for all facilities
  • Create and Maintain the Material Requirements Plan (MRP) for all facilities
  • Create and maintain all Bills of Materials
  • Develop and implement data input process to transition Sales forecasts into Production and Procurement requirements using the company ERP system – Microsoft Navision
  • Use Rough capacity planning to calculate if you can meet your proposed Master Production Schedule. Continue using this technique to continuously assess if your capacity can meet demand when your master production schedule is in action
  • Review requests for new sales orders and provide practical promise dates to Program Management before accepting orders
  • Monitor Schedule progress within the manufacturing facilities and ensure builds are progressing as promised
  • Train people in multiple departments in the use of ERP to facilitate maximum efficiency
  • Prepare reports required to facilitate, and suggest actions to assure, optimal execution of different departments
  • Review Forecast and Schedule change requests to ensure they meet factory capability
  • Lead responsibility to achieve and sustain adherence to company rules associated with Master Scheduling
  • Identify and recommend feasible solutions to plan operational issues
  • Support Operations to maximize throughput and minimize idle time
  • Interacts with Supply Chain to understand incoming raw material
  • Ensure Operations is clear on what needs to be produced every week

Skills and Experience:

  • This position emphasizes skills and experience. Should have up to 10 years of experience in Production Planning and Scheduling.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline and/or a qualification in Planning / Supply Chain.
  • In-depth knowledge of ERP systems required with an emphasis on Forecasting, MPS and MRP modules, BOM management and control, and Item Master. Prior experience with Microsoft Navision is preferred
  • 7 years experience in a manufacturing environment with Press Shop and Finished Goods assembly.
  • Demonstrated organizational and communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and develop collaborative relationships with all levels within the organization
  • Ability to perform at a high level with minimal supervision and direction, can multi-task and is a self-starter.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
