Gross Salary: Ksh 40,000 + Commission,

Our client an online design and print company intends to hire a highly-skilled and well-experienced Debt Collector tasked with implementing and adopting turn around strategies that ensure timely collection of all due debts to the company.  

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing and sending out client statements of accounts.
• Preparing debtors’ aging analysis.
• Collect outstanding debts from clients and achieve collection targets to ensure positive cash flow.
• Maintain debtor’s book to ensure that the debt status is accurate and latest.
• Develop reports on aged debt accounts and days sales outstanding (DSO) reports.
•  Monitor slow moving accounts to identify delinquent debts and take necessary action to recover the debts.
•  Offer exceptional services to customers in a prompt and accurate manner.
• Post customers’ check and ensure timely credit transfer.
• Preparing weekly collection reports against target and sharing with the management team
• Adhere to customer policies and procedures.
•  Close a specific number of collection accounts each month to meet the assigned target.
•  Contact debtors and implement payment schedules and terms.
• Assist the company to take legal action against defaulters by providing necessary information.
• Maintain security and confidentiality of company and customer information.
• Follow legal requirements during debt collections to avoid legal issues.
• Conducting field visits to clients to collect outstanding debts.
•  Support reconciliation of consignment stock.

 Key Qualifications. 

• 3 years of telemarketing experience preferred
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Successful completion of the Professional Debt Collector Certification (ACA) is strongly preferred
• Ability to positively connect with clients and encourage them to make payments toward debts owed
• Time management skills are essential to complete all required client calls daily
• Experience meeting retention and negotiation sales goals
• Basic computer software skills and the ability to work within relevant data spreadsheets
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and the ability to reason and think quickly is essential for negotiating effectively.
