MOTION GRAPHIC DESIGNER 

Overall Purpose of the Job 

The Motion Graphic designer will ensure the highest level of creative output for internal and client brands through the development of highlevel audio-visual concepts using their ability to develop ideas that resonate with target audiences and platform DNA 

Key Responsibilities

• Design and create visually stunning motion graphics for video deliverables (TV and digital ads, product videos, eLearning, websites, demos, etc.)
• Prepare design plan, concept and layout for motion graphic project.
• Work with product and account teams to understand project scope and objectives.
• Assist in selecting audio, video, colors, animation, etc for graphic design.
• Edit raw video footage and add effects/elements to enhance motion graphics.
• Research and analyze best design techniques and solutions to create motion graphics.
• Ensure compliance with company guidelines and design standards.
• Work on several campaigns at once, under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Maintain and follow best practices for versioning control, naming convention and organization of graphic files. 
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge about latest graphic design techniques.
• Keeps up to date with popular/media/advertising culture and trends

Person Specifications 

Academic and Professional Qualifications

• Prior experience with and a strong commercial portfolio of motion graphics work
• Expert-level knowledge of Adobe Suite and common motion graphics design software

 Experience

• Minimum 2 years relevant experience Skills and attributes
• Understanding of the operation of brands in an integrated world.
• Previous experience of local/regional brands.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Kiswahili 
• Superb visual and conceptual skills to solve problems and create novel solutions
• Self-starter (should be able to work under minimum supervision)
