Job Title: Sourcing Leader
Reports to: Regional Manager and is dotted line to the EMEA Category Leaders.
Location: Nairobi

PROFILE INTRODUCTION
Our client, a subsidiary of a multinational conglomerate, is looking to onboard a Sourcing Leader in their organization. The role holder is pivotal in driving savings and efficiencies
through the management of the supplier base. He/she will collaboratively work with other healthcare sourcing Leaders, SBU Leaders, their teams, and the regional stakeholders
across all Purchase Categories. The role holder will leverage experience/expertise to execute functional strategy and in-depth understanding of business strategy to
accomplish work.
Key Areas of Responsibility
 Partner with key business stakeholders to support the needs of the business.
 Develops solutions and delivers on priorities for the designated scope. Maintains metrics for sourcing scope and identifies new areas of opportunity to deliver or
exceed targets.
 Implement an Indirect Sourcing strategy within the RSL’s agreed scope and in line with global initiatives.
 Leads full Request for Proposal process including spend analysis, RFI, RFQ, quotes analysis, pricing, and contract negotiations.
 Owns achieving Indirect savings targets, leading, and running project execution across their supply base.
 Responsible for risk management in supplier base ensuring all compliance and quality standards are met.
KEY FUNCTIONAL AND BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES:
 Tenacious, strong negotiator and influencer, good communicator at all levels and across different cultures.
 Proven ability to execute and deliver on commitments and targets.
 Great stakeholder management - able to understand internal customers’ needs and CTQs and deliver them from the supplier base.
 Can work in a matrix and under pressure against deadlines CTQs and deliver them
from the supplier base.
 Able to balance priorities and pivot when necessary.
 Greenbelt or Black Belt certification preferred.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
 Formal sourcing qualification / Engineering degree/ and /or relevant master’s degree.
 Solid commercial sourcing experience.
 Delivered savings and deployed initiatives projects.
 Shown ability to lead and cooperate with virtual teams.
 Willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time.
 At ease with IT-based tools.
 Fluency in English.
