As part of strengthening our operations, we are looking for experienced, ambitious and highly motivated team player to join the ICT team in the following capacity:

SENIOR SYSTEMS & ERP DEVELOPER

REPORTS TO THE BUSINESS SYSTEMS MANAGER–ICT

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To work closely with a team of functional users and consultants in gathering and documenting business requirements and to design, develop and rollout solutions to meet these requirements. The candidate will be overall responsible for the various development platforms, including the core ERP system as well as providing first-level development support for users across the business.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Gather and analyze end-user requirements for SAP ERP/IS-MEDIA and Custom SAP Enterprise Portal development needs;
• Design, develop, and test programs and reports for all SAP ERP/IS-MEDIA modules and functions;
• Designs forms and screens using tools such as SAPscript and SmartForms;
• Debugging and correcting problems with SAP RICEFW objects;
• Managing transports for SAP development objects across the system landscape;
• Interfaces with functional super-users to identify solutions to SAP operational issues and process improvements;
• Development and implementation of required changes in accordance with set out change management process and procedures;
• Provide training, technical support and assistance to business users for the various SAP modules;
• Prepares and maintains technical program documentation including specifications, test conditions, test plans, and test data;
• Advise the business on SAP products, process improvements, technologies and general operational matters.

PERSON SPECIFICATION.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Degree in IT-related field from a recognized university.
• At least 2 years’ development experience.
• Knowledge and proficiency in Web applications development and integration.
• Development proficiency in Java, PHP, Json, Javascript, DotNet etc.
  
• Advanced SQL programming.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems and APIs.
• Operational and development knowledge of ERP platforms and tools.
• Certification in Software Development and ITIL will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge in SAP ABAP development will be an added advantage.

SKILLS AND OTHER ATTRIBUTES

• Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle process.
• Execellent team player.
• Should be able to work independently and take initiative to find/develop solutions for business requirements.
• Should be a fast learner with attention to detail.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
  
• Ability to work in a fast paced dynamic environment with virtual teams.
