Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and budgets for management review.
  • Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of tax filings and liaise with external auditors as needed.
  • Support the development and implementation of internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Stay updated with changes in accounting standards and industry best practices.

 

Requirements Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional accounting qualification such as CPA (K) or ACCA.
  • Must have at least 2 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, in the insurance industry.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
