Education

  • Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in social sciences, urban development or a related field.
  • A first-level university degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.

Work Experience

  • A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in project or programme management, administration or related area is required.
  • Work experience in an international organization or with the United Nations system is desirable.

Languages

  • Fluency in one of the working languages of the UN Secretariat, English or French, (both oral and written) is required; knowledge of the other is desirable. Knowledge of another UN official language is an advantage. NOTE "Fluency equals a rating of "fluent" in all four areas (read, write, speak, understand) and " Knowledge of equals a rating of' confident" in two of the four areas.
