SYSTEMS MAINTENANCE ENGINEERS (10 Positions)

Locations: Nairobi, Kisumu, Meru, Kiambu, Thika, Meru, Eldoret, Nakuru, Kisumu and Mombasa.

Metropal Sacco is a co-operative union established under the Ministry of Co-operatives and Marketing, registered under the Co-operative Society’s Act Cap 490 of the Laws of Kenya. Currently we have an asset base of over 29 Billion and with over 100,000 members across the country. We have branches in Nairobi, Kisumu, Meru, Kiambu, Thika, Meru, Eldoret, Nakuru, Kisumu and Mombasa. Besides providing savings and credit services the SACCO has other business lines like property management, mortgage services and Metropal Insurance which has been operational for over 20 years. We are looking for qualified individuals to fit in the following position across all our branches.

Responsibilities

·       Design maintenance strategies, procedures and methods for executing banking functions

·       Carry out routine maintenance work and respond to equipment faults

·       Diagnose breakdown problems

·       Fit new parts and make sure bank equipment is working correctly

·       Carry out quality inspections on jobs

·       Liaise with client departments, customers and other bank staff

·       Arrange specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings or components

·       Oversee building constructions and maintenance or modifications and report on progress as per the Sacco’s policies, procedures and guidelines.

·       Control maintenance tools, stores and equipment

·       Control maintenance tools, stores and equipment

·       Improve health and safety policies and procedures

·       Work with specialist equipment, such as programmable logic controllers (PLC)

Qualifications and requirements

·       A Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Civil Engineering, Applied Physics (Electronics and Instrumentation), Mechatronic Engineering or any other relevant degree from a recognized institution.

·       Registration certificates from relevant regulatory bodies

·       Ability to read system schematics.

·       Advanced troubleshooting skills.

·       Understanding of safety and equipment procedures.

·       Good communication and training skills.

·       Ability to work with heavy equipment.
