An officer at this level may be deployed in a Sub- County, a specialized engineering project or in a scheme. Specific duties will involve:
co-ordination of activities related to environment and land use management;
Soil and water Conservation;
Water harvesting mechanization extension;
Farm Structures, Agro-processing; and training and supervising project staff.
The officer may also be deployed in an Agricultural Mechanization Station
Requirements for Appointment For appointment to this grade, an officer must have;
Served in the grade of Senior Superintendent (Agriculture) in the Public Service for a minimum period of three (3) years;
Demonstrated a high degree of technical competence, merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results;
Diploma or Technician part III certificate in a field of Agricultural Engineering such as soil and water, mechanization/farm power, structures, surveying; and
Attended a Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution.
