To support the organisation in the monitoring of the risk and compliance environment. To support the field monitoring of field related activities. To contribute to the identification of criticalities and the implementation of corrective measures.
The position will regularly interact with Program leadership, Finance Department, Operations, IT and HR on topics pertaining to the areas of feedback mechanisms, follow up, investigation, spot checks, remedial corrective action.
Essential Duties
Participates in the development and implementation of annual compliance work plan, risk management program and monitoring / auditing plans.
Provide technical suggestions on building internal controls and monitoring adherence to them
Revise company policies, ensuring that policies are in line with donor regulations and rules
Proactively audits processes, practices and documents to identify weaknesses
Implement compliance work plan and initiatives in the field and within the programs and administrative function
Educate and train employees on regulations and industry practices
Address employee concerns or questions on legal compliance
Keep abreast of internal standards and business goals
Counsels management on the organisations adherence to donor rules and regulations through regular and robust reports
Collaborates with departments to help create a culture of compliance
Consults with Legal Counsel on legal compliance matters and investigations, as appropriate.
Independently investigates or supervises the investigation of compliance concerns raised through the Integrity Hotline or other reporting mechanisms.
Experience
Qualifications:
Minimum four (4) years total experience
Previous experience with US federal funded programming required
USRAP experience preferred
Previous compliance experience preferred

Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s Degree is required (or 4 years of work experience in lieu of a bachelors degree)
Certification in Compliance and Ethics preferred.

Analyse and solve complex problems and make sound decisions;
Work with minimal supervision
Maintain a high performance standard with attention to detail;
Work independently and contribute to overall operations of RSC Africa;
Actively participate in the implementation of the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program (USRAP).
