Reporting to the Medical Director, Critical Care the incumbent will perform clinical function within the Critical Care units which will comprise assessment and management of critically ill patients.
Responsibilities
Participate in the multidisciplinary rounds in ICU& HDU under the supervision of the critical care consultant
Assess and examine patients, order, and interpret diagnostic studies, develop care plans as well as update patients, their families, primary care providers and other consultants
Participate in the review and development of appropriate policies and procedures for patients’ health care to formulate best practice guidelines
Participate in departmental research and academic activities, institutional quality improvement and patient safety activities
Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.Ch. B)
Registration by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentist Council
Accredited certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support
Minimum 1 year’s post internship experience
Demonstrable competency and dexterity with all equipment utilized in the hospital environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Remarkable ability to follow through on assigned tasks and deadlines
