About the Role
Develop training materials for water committees and water users.Conduct practical on-site training to eight water committees that will directly result in improved functionality and operational efficiency.Conduct educational campaigns to community water users to create value for paying for water, create awareness on water quality, water borne diseases, economic cost of consuming unsafe water etc.Engage water stakeholders (water users associations, county water departments and water operators and partners) from the eight target counties on roles and responsibilities for sustainable partnerships for water service delivery.Provide linkages to community managed water systems that support or complement public private community partnership models i.e., financiers, solution providers, water operators.Promote enterprise development initiatives that improve community water systems operational functionality and improve resilience of water users to climatic shocks (droughts and floods) For example, linkages to livestock and agribusiness initiatives etc.Provide linkages to financiers of water infrastructure for expansion of services. For example, blended finance, impact investors, grant providers, CSR initiatives etc.Qualifications
The consultant must exhibit the following qualifications below With (3) and (4) being demonstrated by the support team of the consultant. * First degree in Engineering, with a specialisation in water infrastructure and management, Finance, Development studies (a Masters’ degree in the same will be considered an added advantage)
