Provide leadership and management of the Student Connections Programme aimed at developing students’ character, capabilities and connections through exposure to local, regional and global events.
Develop a vision for extra curricular programming at Tatu Day School
Coordinate all clubs (scheduling, space allocation, recruitment of patrons/vendors, onboarding and offboarding of patrons/vendors, preparation of objectives, sign-up, sign up confirmations, awards/certificates, budgeting, reporting, etc.)
Provide quality and standards assurance for clubs to guarantee value for money
Lead the planning and implementation of the club experience for parents
Lead the planning and implementation of field trips and other school trips
Lead the planning and implementation of staff professional development sessions on student enrichment (games, clubs and other co-curricular activities) both internally and externally
Identify opportunities and coordinate preparation and participation of students in internal and external events to develop talents and build competitive school teams
Manage direct reports that may include sports/PE coaches, club patrons, music teachers and interns
Manage all club patrons and club vendors
ABOUT YOU
Skills and Qualifications required:
You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and you are TSC certified
A Masters degree in education/social sciences is not compulsory, it would be an added advantage.
You are passionate about developing young leaders through strong extra curricular programming- you understand what it takes to connect with students outside of the classroom through these activities and understand the value it brings to a child's growth and development.
You have a strong record of leading students to successful participation in inter-school competitions preferably up to the national level and beyond. E.g. in drama, music, STEM, debating, sports, scouting, etc.
You have excellent interpersonal and leadership skills that encompass trust and respect
You have excellent communication and people management skills
You are flexible, adaptable, innovative and creative
You understand the complexities of working in a fast-paced, multi-faceted organization
You have a passion for students and student competitions
You have high energy levels and are known for producing great results with students
You are familiar with Google suite functions and capabilities and are technologically competent
You are flexible and open to change - you handle uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity well.
You are a problem solver - you are proactive in identifying issues and address these thoroughly by making an effort to find appropriate solutions.
