About the Role

CREDIT OFFICER

☐ Our client is a microfinance institution operating in Thika Town, Mt. Kenya & Eastern region in Kenya. The Company is passionate about providing financial solutions to SMEs in the region. The company is looking to hire an experienced Credit Officer to support its rapid growth. To succeed in this role you need to have acquired relevant skills in loan appraisal, documentation analysis, report writing skills.

Individuals with extensive experience in Micro loans in a Microfinance set up are highly encouraged to apply

☐ Location – Thika

RESPONSIBILITIES

☐ Review loan requests and ensure all loans approved are in line with company policies and procedures.

☐ Analyze risks and approve or reject loan requests.

☐ Evaluate client’s creditworthiness and risks

☐ Monitor progress of existing loans.

☐ Maintain updated records of loan applications, and ensure all documents received are valid and accurate.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

☐ Bachelor’s degree in any Business field from a recognized university.

☐ At least 2 years of practical working experience in the Credit department in an MFI/ Financial institution.

☐ Demonstrates great analytical skills.

☐ Working knowledge in IT skills (MSOffice)

☐ Report writing skills, excellent skills in analysis of Financials, communication, interpersonal, organizational and negotiation skills
