ABOUT THE ROLE

☐ Our client is a microfinance institution operating in Thika Town, Mt. Kenya & Eastern region in Kenya. The Company is passionate about providing financial solutions to SMEs in the region. The company is looking to hire experienced Team Leaders to support its rapid growth. To succeed in this role you need to have acquired relevant skills in business growth, various loans offered and leadership skills.

Individuals with extensive experience in Micro loans in a Microfinance set up are highly encouraged to apply

☐ Location – Meru (Nkubu Branch and Kiirua Branch)

RESPONSIBILITIES

☐ Ensure the loan book grows as projected through continuous product development and value proposition.

☐ Provides the interface between the CEO and branch staff

☐ Set appropriate sector targets for the staff and monitor progress towards achieving the same and making adjustments as necessary.

☐ Develop a market penetration strategy that clearly identifies new markets and innovative approaches to reaching customers.

☐ Guide, coordinate, and review the sector’s marketing activities countrywide.

☐ Together with sector staff, keenly manage all non-performing loans to maintain quality of the book

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

☐ Bachelor’s degree in any Business field from a recognized university.

☐ At least 2 years of practical working experience at a Team Leader level in Credit in an MFI/ Financial institution.

☐ Demonstrates leadership skills

☐ Working knowledge in IT skills (MSOffice)

☐ Report writing skills, excellent skills in the analysis of Financials, communication, interpersonal, organizational, and negotiation skills
