Retail Sales Lead - Phones and Electronics


Primary Purpose of This Job

To manage the retail sales department and execute company field and retail marketing sales strategies. Responsible for the monthly sell-out target achievement in line with account targets and deployment of key retail initiatives across assigned region/markets.


Key Responsibilities

1. Responsible (with the Head of Retail) for achieving yearly and monthly sell out a target within set channels and implementation of a retail and field marketing sales strategy , in line with sales plans and objectives

2. Implement monthly and quarterly promotion plans for devices based on sales objectives.


3. The retail lead will be assigned a specific retail operations role as part of their responsibility to support the wider internal team in the delivery of core retail functions eg. Project Management, Channel Marketing, Data and Insights, Sales, Merchandising etc.

4. Influence the Field Marketing Strategy (with the Managing Director ) and Field Brand Ambassadors.

5. Proactively identify opportunities to reinforce company brand through retail and field activities to key audiences and take these forward through planned updates and new retail initiatives.

6. To be the Retail marketing point of contact for customer and partner relationships, maintaining a calendar of activities/promotions and ensuring that this is appropriately within the overall sales plans (aligning with the marketing lead and overall management)

7. Lead and manage the end-to-end production and implementation of promotional activities

8. Channel Marketing responsibility and work with the Managing Director and Marketing lead where applicable to maximise the look and feel of all retail POS and activity across all parts of the customer journey to create a uniform experience through the line

9. Providing updates on channel marketing activities

10. Manage marketing and fixture deployment agencies/suppliers as required including pitch process, contract negotiation, and ongoing management

11. Maintain relationships with multi-channel accounts to ensure effective and consistent POS presence in stores

12. Work with Head of Retail and Account Director to ensure individual Accounts are serviced regularly via face-to-face meetings or conference calls

13. Use store and channel level knowledge to affect sell-out uplift of all devices

14. Build robust and considered forward-thinking incentive propositions for stores and telesales staff based on accurate data and insights.
