Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of the Programme Management Assistant in Civil Society Unit, Governance Affairs Office, the intern will perform the following duties:

  • Support preparation in website updates
  • Adding and editing accredited organizations to the website
  • Uploading documents to repository
  • Editing contents of civil society webpages¿
  • Support Registration processes of the various meetings including working on the list of participants;¿
  • Develop and conduct a Series of Client Satisfaction Survey – including analyses to feedback to the clientele – especially the Committee of Permanent Representatives;
  • Support effective communications with governing bodies, member States and their Permanent Missions to UN Environment in line with UN mandates and guidelines
  • Support follow-up on the production of the civil society perspective series publication
  • Provide Administrative support to the Governing Affairs Office;
  • Other tasks, as requested.

Education

  • A first-level degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent) in Application Development, Information Technology, Computer science, Information Systems or related fields is required.

Work Experience

  • No working experience is required to apply for the United Nations Internship Programme. Your training, education, advance course work or skills should benefit the United Nations during your internship.
