Making sure preventive maintenance is planned and ensure that maintenance technicians have the tools and parts they need to complete planned maintenance work orders right the first time.
Schedule maintenance in a way that minimizes equipment downtime and impact on production.
Analyze machine breakdowns and revise/improve preventive maintenance job scope.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain an updated list of all machines in the factory.
Develop preventive maintenance work scope and details of what needs to be done, when and how for all machines.
Develop preventive maintenance schedules for all machines divided into daily, weekly, monthly, annual and any other time or condition-based maintenance, including plant-wide maintenance shutdown.
Develop and document job plans for preventive maintenance work and ensure jobs are ready to be executed right first time.
Raise preventive maintenance work orders and get required approval and coordinate with maintenance supervisor and technicians.
Ensure spare parts required for preventive maintenance are available before the planned maintenance is started and stage the spare parts when needed.
Work with the production function to schedule maintenance and ensure there is no conflict with production priorities and facilitate appropriate scheduling meetings.
Manage work orders, documentation, and assets within the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
Coordinate rebuilding of spare machines.
Maintain technical knowledge center – machine manuals, set-up manuals, machine history, Develop and update SOPs for all maintenance work.
Track maintenance planning KPIs - Job Plan Accuracy, Wrench Time, PM Compliance, Schedule Adherence.
Any other duties are directed by the supervisor.

Skills and Experience

Essential:

Degree in engineering
Must have worked in a busy factory for a minimum of 2 years as a product operator/production supervisor/maintenance technician/ maintenance engineer/research and development engineer
Must have led teams and coordinated cross-functional teams

Desirable:

Ability to use machine operations and maintenance manuals to develop a maintenance program
Ability to train operators and technicians on how to carry out tasks correctly
