The position holder will report to the IT Security Manager and will be based at the Head office in Nairobi.
Role Purpose
Responsible for recommending, implementing, and monitoring technology-related security procedures to secure the company’s Technology and Information Systems. The role holder will also administer all security technologies and functions that include but not limited to Cloud security, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, authentication processes, content filtering systems, EDR, application interface security, incident response, infrastructure and applications security (including vulnerability assessments, penetration testing and resolutions on all technical systems)
Main Responsibilities
1. Identify and implement industry-leading best practices for Technology Security and Security risk management
2. Manage the implementation of Technology Security related tasks within existing & new projects.
3. Recommend policies to secure and protect the infrastructure while investigating and mitigating any breaches.
4. Implement security policies, standards and procedures
5. Provide regular reports on various key aspects of all assigned security responsibilities
6. Evaluate access controls and roles of system users with respect to network and systems security.
7. Minimize and mitigate risks introduced by existing and new technologies, products and services;
8. Participate in all technical projects and provide Security requirements in line with information security policies and
9. Standard requirements.
10. Manage internal and external audit IT-specific requests, Cybersecurity etc.
11. Monitoring compliance with & Implement IT regulations and IT Cybersecurity policies
12. Conduct cyber security awareness and training to staff in all subsidiaries
13. Ensuring best practices and are implemented and maintained in cloud infrastructure.
14. Develop and implement Information Security Management Systems
Functional Skills
1. Experience in implementation of ISO27001
2. Knowledge of security policy standard development, secure infrastructure design & reviews
3. Working knowledge and experience with virtualization, remote access and secure mobile technologies
4. Experience and expertise in ethical hacking, firewall and IDS/IPS technologies
Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or other Computer related fields from a recognized University
• Information Security Qualification: CCSP/CISSP/CISM/CISA/CEH
• Networking Competencies: MCSE, CCNA
• Cloud Security Certifications
Relevant Experience
• Minimum of 3 years in experience in networking security, hardware and system software
