Lead UX efforts necessary for the success of a <new idea/innovation project> including user research, creating personas, establishing customer journeys and user flows, wireframing, interaction design, visual design, high-fidelity prototyping, user testing and validation, and implementation
Assist business teams in developing ideas from the initial problem statement through to defining features.
Work in an iterative manner rooted in user validation and feedback to build products with a high chance of success
Communicate often and effectively with technical and non-technical team members to facilitate a smooth collaboration and make sure the project stays on track
Organize and lead UX workshops as needed based on the specific requirements of the project.
Qualifications and Skills:
Recent portfolio demonstrating a thorough understanding of UX processes and user-centered design
5+ years of experience as a UX designer that has successfully shipped mobile and web products, with at least 2 years of experience doing end-to-end UX
Expertise in using Figma (preferred), Sketch, Adobe XD, or other similar tools
Basic knowledge in HTML/CSS/JavaScript is a plus
Mindful of designing for accessibility
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
Experience working in a fast-paced environment while ensuring timely delivery of artefacts
Experience working with a diverse team situated in multiple timezones
Excellent communication (both written and oral) and interpersonal skills
Must be self-motivated, proactive, and able to work well under pressure to manage competing demands
Must be a creative problem-solver with a strong customer focus
Must be a team-player with the ability to establish high-trust professional relationships quickly
Up-to-date with the latest trends in design and technology
Experience working in the finance/payments industry and/or start-ups a plus
