Our client a leading Microfinance offering logbook Loans and assets financing is looking to for Business Development Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating Logbook loans, recruiting Agents and new business. The Ideal Must have experience working the Financial Service Sector and have minimum of Logbook Loan portfolio of Kshs.30 million in current work.

Key Requirements:

  • Recruit, maintain, motivate, manage, guide and direct the team to reach its performance levels.
  • Demonstrate tactical skills during onboarding of new and existing customers to have a one-time customer service experience.
  • Provide day-to-day key technical skills that Team members & Agents require to succeed including but not limited to product knowledge, sales and marketing etc.
  • Identify, guide and project source of business by advising his team on potential areas to generate quality Logbook Loans.
  • Develop new marketing strategies, campaigns and generate new leads to ensure business continuity.
  • Conduct weekly evaluations to team members and share the same with HR for record keeping.
  • Monitor and drive individual team performance through improved performance of each Member and Agent to maximize performance and work on their retention.
  • Plan for activation sessions and lead the team on various sites and locations in a bid to market the products and obtain sales prospects.
  • Prepare reports for the Head of Business Development and Marketing on performance in the team against the set KPIs.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly work-plans in-order to meet the company set targets.
  • Prepare reports in Power Point, excel etc. for the Board to do proper budgeting

Qualifications:

  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Logbook Loan
  • Must have experience working the Financial Service Sector.
  • Have minimum of Logbook Loan portfolio of 30 million in current work
  • Able to lead a team in generating and closing a minimum of 40 sales per month.
  • Be able to show product capability through a demo.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and strong emotional intelligence
