Reporting to: Managing Director,
Our client is a leading general manufacturing company that seeks to hire a highly capable security manager to develop and implement security strategies at their company. The position is responsible and accountable for the day-to-day administration of facilities, security systems, and processes across the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing protection for personnel and company property through the management of security protocols
- Planning and implementing comprehensive security strategies
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining security policies to meet required codes and regulations
- Liaison Role: Developing procedures and guidance for liaison with other security agencies.
- Conducting security surveillance and evaluations including gathering security intelligence and implementing preventative measures to facilitate safe operations of the company.
- Escort Management: Manage all escorts and liaison with external security agencies for escort of company valuables.
- Vetting: Develop and drive robust customers, vendors, and employee vetting to ensure no adverse liabilities.
- Security Audits and incident investigations: Conduct robust security audits and investigations and close corrective actions.
- Assets & Employee Security: Secure employees and advice on security threats
- Management of all security devices and equipment; access control systems, and CCTV equipment and ensure they are in good working conditions.
- Security risk management including developing and implementing preventive measures against accidents, thefts
- Managing the performance of contract security personnel including daily workflows, schedules, assignments, and deployment of security staff including security guards.
- Prepare reports documenting all significant events and investigations, crimes and violations committed, thefts, security lapses, and, safety hazards
- Utilizing a strong knowledge of Collaborating with department managers to determine security needs.
- Coordinating responses to emergencies and alarms, as well as compiling incident reports.
- Keeping abreast of new technologies and advancements in security services.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and security industry regulations.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Degree, Diploma, or a related field is preferred
- Must have worked as military personnel
- Minimum of 4 years in the same field
- State-prescribed security training
- Extensive experience in preventing illegal activity and performing access control.
- In-depth knowledge of security procedures and surveillance equipment.
- Knowledge of security industry regulations.
- Advanced ability to coordinate responses to security breaches and threats.
- Superb leadership and organizational abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Availability to respond to security alerts outside of business hours.
