Job Summary

The job holder is answerable to the Engineer and is responsible for undertaking supervision of road works; preparation of work programmes; collection of data on road inventory; preparation of tender documents and conducting annual traffic count.

Duties and Responsibilities
a)  Supervise Road Overseers and project staff;
b)  Supervise road construction and maintenance works under instructions from a SeniorOfficer;
c)  Prepare and maintain site records and other road work records;
d)  Undertake selection and location of materials for Road works;
e)  Collect data on road inventory;
f)  Ensure that all site records are prepared on time and submitted as required; and
g)  Perform any other lawful duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications and Experience
For appointment to this position, the ideal candidate must:

a)  Have a Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized Higher Learning Institution;
b)  Be proficient in computer applications;
c)  Be registered as a graduate Technician Engineer with the EBK (Engineers Board of Kenya);
d)  Fulfil the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya; and
e)  Minimal experience in work of similar nature in the public service or private sector will be an added advantage.
