Gross Salary: Kshs 35 – 40K plus Commissions,

Our client is a leading IT Solutions company based in Nairobi is seeking to hire an experienced Business Development Executive who will add value plus growth by identifying new business opportunities, building new pipelines and conversion into business as well as managing client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish contact with potential clients through direct communication, face-to-face meetings, telephone calls, emails, and presentations.
  • Prepare and deliver customer presentations/demonstrations of the products articulately and confidently.
  • Periodically analyze the usage of all registered accounts on all platforms to determine the active and dormant clients.
  • Prospecting, qualifying, negotiating, and closing company services and products through consultative-selling skills.
  • Promptly and efficiently respond to all enquiries made via calls, emails, website, web-chat, walk-in customers and social media platforms with a view to converting them to active customers.
  • Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analysis
  • Develop a short, concise and creative strategy to retain the clients including conducting short interviews with a view to get feedback and incorporate it into the business growth.
  • Ensure the sales pipeline is healthy and apply creative mechanisms to generate interest in products and services and new business leads.
  • Identify and develop new business through networking, courtesy, and follow-up calls.
  • Cultivate and maintain an excellent customer relationship culture in order to ensure optimal customer retention as well as grow referrals business.
  • Schedule customer – follow up calls to establish challenges they could be facing and offer solutions. 
  • Collaboration with the technology team, identify and explore strategic target opportunities to develop unique selling prepositions for the key stakeholders and consumers.
  • Promptly engage with new clients on a one-on-one basis through the website online chat.
  • Research on upcoming events, platforms, forums and activities suitable to promote company products and gain new clients.
  • Update company power point presentation as well other marketing/promotional materials required during corporate presentations.
  • Organize and attend customer meetings requested by clients with a view to convert them into own customers.

Qualifications

  • Business Degree/Diploma or Equivalent with a Technology qualification as an added advantage.
  • At least  2- 3 years of work experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in selling IT Solutions.
  • Demonstrate evidence of exceeding sales targets and the ability to build successful customer relationships in previous roles.
  • Consulting Experience.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and growth with the company.
  • Work well with the Team.
  • Knowledgeable in the needs of the client, and comfortable working hands-on in all aspects of executing the go-to-market strategy
