Gross Salary: 20,000 KSH

Job Purpose: As a key member of the Bakery department, the Baker is responsible for the production tools, baking schedule, and preparing all specialty breads, pastries, and pies.The baker also assists our guests in choosing high quality pastries, breads, pies, and other various specialty items, including cookies and cakes

Roles & Responsibilities;

  • Assists with the development and implementation of new product ideas.
  • Clean and sanitize department area, including equipment, containers, storage areas, aisles, and display and special store events.
  • Sets and signs displays of merchandise to attract customers and promote sales.
  • Takes inventory or examines merchandise on a regular basis, to identify items needing to be replenished.
  • Prepare all food items according to standard recipes or as otherwise specified by the chef to ensure consistency of product to the guest.
  • Check and control the proper storage of product especially on all produce, includes checking on portion control to maintain quality product.
  • Monitor and keep all refrigeration, storage and equipment clean and in working condition.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management
  • Provide outstanding guest service to all guests.

Required Qualifications

  • Certificate in food and beverage sales and service, Baking and culinary arts
  • Hospitality experience of at least 6 months in a busy environment.
