We are looking for a French speaking Tour Consultant with great enthusiasm for traveling. The tour Consultant will be responsible for promoting and booking traveling arrangements for clients (individuals or businesses). The goal is to enhance satisfaction and acquire an expanding and dedicated clientele. The ideal candidate should have an outgoing personality with at least 7 years of experience working in a similar role. He/She    should be able to manage his/her own schedule and think out of the box to create once in a lifetime experience for discerning clients that leave them with magical memories.

Key Requirements:

  • Research various destinations and means of travel regarding prices, customs, weather conditions, reviews and keep up to date with the industry.
  • Diagnose the clients’ specifications and wishes and suggest suitable travel packages/services
  • Organize travels from beginning to end, through booking tickets and accommodation, securing rental transportation etc.
  • Supply travellers with pertinent information and useful travel/holiday material
  • Attend conferences and familiarisation trips
  • Create and update electronic records of clients
  • Keep financial statements and documents.
  • Provide competitive but profitable trips assuring that quality of tours is consistently of a high standard.
  • Record all enquiries & bookings and carry out weekly reports to the Manager.
  • Secure new client sales and retention through high level of customer service.
  • Handle customer complaints with diplomacy and refer to manager whenever necessary.

Qualifications/skills:

  • Fluent in French – speaking and writing.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience with selling safari and beach package to the individual clients as well as B2B.
  • A strong sense of sales, knowing how to lead and conclude a sale.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent knowledge of the tourism destination Kenya and Tanzania.
  • Flexibility with working hours
