Gross Salary:  Ksh 50-70K,

Our client is a leading logistics company with over 25 years of experience in providing logistics services in Kenya and the greater East African region. They seek to hire a self-motivated and efficient Sales and Marketing executive who will be reporting to the Managing Director to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry; researching and analysing sales options.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with key partners in assigned accounts/prospects
  • Facilitates customer relationships to ensure timely resolution of customer issues
  • Sells products by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects; recommending solutions.
  • Follow up on all leads, requests/quotes issued to new/potential clients to ensure business is secured.
  • Attain the communicated monthly sales turnover.
  • Ensure 0% unresolved client queries.
  • Actively make client visits and follow up to ensure client satisfaction and secure business.
  • Maintains relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities; recommending profit and service improvements.
  • Identifies product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
  • Prepares reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information.
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; establishing personal networks and benchmarking state-of-the-art practices.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing or relevant field.
  • 5 years of experience, preferably in clearing, forwarding, freight and logistics
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of data analysis and report writing
  • Ability to understand and follow company policies and guidelines
  • Strong analytical, organizational and creative thinking skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Knowledge in clearing and forwarding policies 
  • Proven track record in sales
  • Experience in managerial or supervisory role will be an added advantage.
  • The candidate should be aged between 35-45 years
