Gross Salary: 50k – 60k,

Our Client in the engineering industry seeks to hire a competent Accounts Assistant who will provide support to the Finance team.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivables
• Bank reconciliations
• Petty cash management
• Compliance management – Filing of taxes; VAT, WHT, Catering Levy, and Payroll statutory.
• Payroll management 
• Manage account payables
• Providing support to the Accounting Department.
• Performing basic office tasks, such as filing, data entry, answering phones, processing the mail, etc.
• Handling communications with clients and vendors via phone, email, and in-person.
• Processing transactions, issuing checks, and updating ledgers, budgets, etc.
• Preparing financial reports.
• Assisting with audits, fact checks, and resolving discrepancies.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting option) or a Degree in a business-related field
• Minimum CPA Section II 
• A minimum of 2 – 3 years experience in a similar role
• Experience in the usage of accounting software preferably Sage or Pastel and ERP systems
• Excellent computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Good with numbers
• Attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
