Gross Salary: 35K –40K,

Our client is a laboratory testing company that specializes in water, air, food chemical & microbiological testing. They seek to hire an Accountant who will be tasked with undertaking all accounting duties as instructed, authorized and directed by the immediate Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and approve reconciliation for payment of creditors as they fall due in period and amount per vendor.
• Supervise and approve reconciliation and collection of all receivables as they fall due in period and amount per customer 
• Ensure cash receipts, cheques, paybill and credit card receipts are banked.
• Supervise and approve bank reconciliations and cash reconciliation 
• Carry out physical stock take and prepare a report to management 
• Report on all advanced payment from suppliers 
• Report on all advanced payments received from customers
• All financial transactions are recorded in QuickBooks Monthly 
• All Tax obligations of the company are filled properly and paid in due time.
• The correct procedure is followed Monthly.
• Ensure all financial transactions are done according to our finance and accounting policies and procedures.
• Review internal control gaps and recommend improvements 
• Ensure the company is compliant with all statutory requirement approvals in finance and accounting department.
• Ensure proper filing of all company, quality and financial records and documents under your role.
• Handle all the company transactions

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting option) or a Degree in a business related field
• A Minimum of 2- 3 year experience in a similar role
• Certified CPA K Accountant
• Must have experience in SAGE / Quick book / Evolution ERP
• Advanced Excel with strong analytical skills.
• Knowledge of Accounting Best Practice
• Good teamwork & interpersonal relationship skills
• Excellent Communication skills
• Good Organizing/ Planning skills
• Attentive & keen to details
