PURPOSE:

Responsible for performing financial analysis on actuarial liabilities, claims experience, pricing, solvency, and capital requirements as well as the suitability of reinsurance arrangements.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Run, adjust and make assumptions on valuation models of claims and premium liabilities on specific lines of business.
2. Prepare draft reports e.g. valuation, claims experience, solvency, and capital.
3. Monitor and investigate claims experience and provide insights on products for specific lines of business.
4. Review pricing, check the adequacy of premiums and provide recommendations for the specific lines of business.
5. Monitor solvency position and capital requirements for the subsidiary.
6. Prepare monthly data reconciliation reports for specific lines of business.
7. Review and recommend the suitability of reinsurance arrangements for specific lines of business and
8. Review and analyze data from AKI/IRA for use in quarterly industry analysis reports for specific lines of business.
PERSON SPECIFICATIONS

Academic Qualifications

1. Actuarial Science or Statistics or Mathematics or related field is required
Professional Qualifications
2. Certified Actuarial Analyst (CAA)
Experience

3. Three years of relevant experience

4. Knowledge of actuarial software in terms of capabilities and output;
5. Excellent communication and presentation skills
6. Problem-solving skills
7. Good analytical skills
10. Computer literate in MS Office and other office applications
