Our client in the manufacturing sector is seeking to recruit a Senior Accountant who will be for managing Bank accounts, VAT, Management Accounts schedules, GL, and Sundry payables. The ideal candidate Must have experience in the Manufacturing Sector.

Key Requirements:

• Preparing monthly management accounts schedules – both P&L and balance sheet
• Preparing and circulating cash flow projection – weekly, monthly, quarterly
• Bank – initiating online payments, preparing summaries for payments received for KES and USD receipts, circulating Treasury Report, supervising bank reconciliations for all accounts
• Checking sundry payables remittances and reconciliations of the same to their relevant statements and accounting system to meet various stipulated deadlines for payment runs
• Initiating sundry payables related recovery proforma invoices
• Ensuring withholding VAT, withholding tax and all statutory deductions related to payments made have been duly deducted and paid to KRA
• Supervising and checking monthly VAT returns and VAT reconciliations and submitting for review and submission on the stipulated deadline date
• Assisting the Finance Manager on the budget process
• Assisting the Finance Manager on the annual audit
• Analysis of all costs on a YTD and monthly basis

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field
• CPA (K) or ACCA
• Minimum of 4 years as an Accountant in a busy environment
• Proficiency is using accounting system
• General Accounting skills
• Computer skills especially excel
• Effective communication skills
• Organized, accurate and detail oriented

• Results oriented and ability to deliver within very strict deadlines
• Ability to work under minimal supervision
