Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required:

For Appointment to this grade a candidate must have: -

  • Bachelor’s degree (KNQF Level 7 or equivalent)  in Education, Engineering, Architecture or related field from a recognized university in Kenya; 
  • Fulfil the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution; 
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
  • Responsibilities:

    Key Duties and Responsibilities;

  • Initiating the development of guidelines and tools for accreditation purposes;
  • Collecting and collating data for the national data base of qualifications awarding institutions accredited in Kenya; 
  • Supporting institutions and individuals on accreditation of qualifications awarding institutions; 
  • Evaluating applications for assessment and drafting the reports; 
  • Processing applications of peer reviewers and facilitators; 
  • Organizing accreditation training and other workshops; 
  • Undertaking technical/full inspections and prepare reports; 
  • Analyzing self-evaluation by institutions and reporting; 
  • Updating the database of accreditation and registration peer reviewers; 
  • Monitoring and reporting on implementation of policies, regulations and guidelines on registration and accreditation; 
  • Monitoring and reporting on implementation of policies, regulations and guidelines on registration & accreditation of qualifications awarding institutions;
